D. Daniel Sullivan

WORCESTER – Douglas D. “Daniel” Sullivan, 73, of Worcester, died Sunday, October 30, 2016 at St. Vincent’s Hospital. 

He leaves his mother, Louise G, Sullivan of Worcester, whom he loved dearly.  Besides his mother, Dan leaves his aunt Emily Lavendier of CT, his cousins The Lavendier Family including Marie, Ann, Patti, Suzanne, and Joe. He is also survived by his close friends Gerry and Ellen Martin of Worcester. Dan was predeceased by his father, Sergeant Daniel C. Sullivan and his uncle Raymond Lavendier.   He was born in Worcester.

Daniel was an obituary writer for the Telegram and Gazette for 27 years. He was active in Big Brothers, he managed the Rock Band Albatross. Dan enjoyed painting.  He will forever be remembered for his generous spirit and kind heart.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum, 162 Webster St, Worcester.  Monsignor Scollen will officiate.  There are no calling hours.   Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester is in care of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Veterans Shelter, Veterans Inc, 69 Grove Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
