UXBRIDGE - Constance B. (Gelinas) Wrightson, 92, formerly of Worcester and West Yarmouth, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at her son and daughter-in-law’s ’s home in Uxbridge.
Her beloved husband of 57 years, Philip F. Wrightson, died in 2012. She leaves six children, Philip F. Wrightson, Jr. and his wife Lorel of Uxbridge, Paul F. Wrightson and his wife Michele of Sterling; Theresa A. Wrightson of South Dennis, Diane Gregoire and her husband Paul of Jefferson, Christine Keene and her husband Daniel of Marlborough, and Caroline R. Wrightson and her partner David of Worcester; five grandchildren, Tara McCorkle, Laura Caola and her husband Aaron, Ryan Gregoire, Christian Wrightson and his fiancée Valentina Raptis, and Adam Gregoire. She leaves two great-granddaughters, Elsie and Sadie Caola. She is also survived by a sister, Janet Joy of Milton, WA; several nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of John Lucien “Luke” Gelinas and Rose Aimee (Foyle) Gelinas. She graduated from Leicester High School.
Connie was a floor manager at Paul Revere Life Insurance Company in Worcester for many years. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Worcester. She enjoyed Seagull beach, swimming, reading, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved hosting cookouts and holiday dinners.
The family wishes to thank the hospice nursing team at Preferred Transitions Home Health Care, particularly Ann Ginsberg RN, for the compassionate care they provided during Connie’s final months.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 551 Pleasant St, Worcester. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be held at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 am before the Mass. Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org).
