Donald Larocque Obituary

WORCESTER - Donald A. Larocque officially began the next chapter of his journey on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the age of 72 surrounded by loved ones in the comfort of his home.

He leaves his loving sweetheart Nancy Lou Elderkin, a son, Christopher P. O’Neil, two grandsons, Joshua P. O’Neil, Justin T. O’Neil along with his fiancée Bina Morris, a sister, Jeanne M. Plant and her husband Kenneth of Worcester; four brothers, Leo P. Larocque and his wife Donna, Raymond E. Larocque, and Philip J. Larocque, all of Worcester, and Thomas R. Larocque of Shrewsbury; a brother-in-law, Richard A. Cortesi of Worcester; two nephews. He was predeceased by sister Denise A. (Larocque) Cortesi, and a brother, Richard J. Larocque. Donald was born in Worcester, son of Andre H. and Marie-Ange (L'Esperance) Larocque and lived in Worcester all his life.

Throughout his life, he lived with an unwavering determination to get the most out of life by having fun and enjoying life while spending time with family and friends. Don was a man who lived life on his own terms, never afraid to speak his mind and push boundaries. His unique sense of humor accompanied by witty banter made him a memorable and beloved person in the lives of those who knew him.

"I tried until I died" was more than just a phrase for Don. He truly was solid as a rock embracing his name Larocque, his determination was admirable. He will be remembered as a thoughtful, caring and loving father and grandfather who surely lived a life true to himself, never wavering.

Donald started his journey in the family trade of sheetrock and later ventured into a career as an insurance salesman.  He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Though Don is no longer with us, the memory of his kind and humble spirit will live on forever in those that loved him.

Dad, You will be missed, remembered and loved..
